Daphne is a pivoting shaded sconce drawn from French utility lighting, reduced to a plain arm, a round backplate, and a soft shade. Because the head swivels, one fixture can throw light onto a page, a mirror, or a wall, and a diffuser inside the shade keeps the source from showing. It suits a bedside wall, a reading corner, or a bathroom where a fixed downlight would be too blunt.
