Ciottolo gathers carved alabaster forms into a loose cluster, each one lit from inside so the stone itself becomes the shade. Alabaster is never uniform, so the veining shifts from piece to piece and no two clusters read alike. It was drawn for a kitchen island or a dining table, at a height where the light falls on the surface rather than in the eye.
